Shanti Club
Uniting the youth of south Asia and spreading cultural awareness Shanti Club has been a distinguished cultural club at WHS for many years. We represent all ethnicities of south Asia: Indian, Pakistani, Sri Lankan, Bengali and Nepali. Our notable achievements include winning WHS's annual talent show two years in a row; 2001, 2002; performing at south Asian community events such as the Independence Day Mela, 2001,2002; Diamond Bar Culture Show 2000-2002, fundraising for the devastation that occurred after the Gujurat earthquake in 2001, and adopting a child from Bengal financially. Our most amazing achievement has been the success of our first annual culture show, a tradition we are striving to meet and keep through the years to come.
